A coupla thoughts here. First of all, what you are experiencing is not
limited to your club, or motorsports in general. It happens everywhere.
Excitement and recruiting new members are two things to keep in mind.

Have you tried a participation award? One group I am in gives out a hat if
you participate in a minimum number of events per year. Another puts you on
the board of directors!

There is a rally club in Delaware (Brandywine Motorsport Club) that does a
"blind rally" every year. There is a school for the blind nearby, and they
translate the route instructions into Braille. The navigators are blind and
the club provides drivers. This kind of charity event creates a lot of
interest, plus some good publicity.

Also, advertise for new members. Keeping fresh blood in the group either
makes you a vampire or keeps members from becoming bored. I know there are
limited numbers of Healeys in a given area, but don't think you already have
every one of them in your club. You would probably be wrong. If you have
saturated the area, it might be time to restructure the club to include other
marques. (It's just a suggestion. No flames please!)

Good luck, and let us know how things go.
