shop and save! CT Farm&Country was phasing out devilbis compressors due to
volume suply problems. replaced with coleman. bought a 60 gallon 6hp
upright for 250.00 plus tax because it was the last in stock and of al
things it was missing the drain petcock in the bottom of the tank! the
local devilbis repair facility came out and installed the petcock free of
charge because it was "under warrenty". they do not allow an owner to
touch a item other than to connect to an airline and plug it in or you void
the warr.. i am quite happy since i was killing my old sears (devilbis)
3hp portable i had for around 15 years. now we are considering mounting a
gas engine to it and using it for portable air at the track. getting too
fancy here i think! shop and look into all of the places that suply these
items and compare prices.
i do know those oil free/less craftsman compressors are loud and obnoxious
as heck though. i insisted in a conventional 2 cylinder piston type because
it was so much more quiet (with oil).
good hunting!
chuck.
