Nope. It's an Air Force base. If you had parents who were in WW2, then
they know where it is. Everyone who shipped overseas staged out of there.
There is a coast guard base on part of it currently, but that's within the
last 15 years or so. This is not the Brooklyn Navy Yard (which I think you
are thinking of). You should come. It's maybe 1/2 hour (no traffic) from
the Goethals bridge. Maybe 45 minutes from the outer bridge. I forget
which exit off the GSP you live.
