I hate to restate the obvious but please invest in a Vizard book. He does
go through an series of profiles for the needles. You might also invest in
the SU carb book which lists standards for the cars.
Now if you would like to purchase my collection of tried but did not like
needles I will offer an excellent price.
My advice is to stay with the standard unless you are in unusual
conditions, or have fitted a wild cam. For the latter look at the Turner
standards or the full race.
