Thanks to all who replied, but I guess I should have provided more details.
I would have done the whole put it in 4th and move it, if I could. See, the
car is parked on a hill, in a specific spot. I can't really move it until it
is ready to move on its own.
The remote starter idea. Does anyone know where I can find one of these? The
battery is not there, but the starter is, rusty casing, but It doesn't hurt
to try and see if it turns over.
But if I hook up a starter, and the valves are stuck, won't it push through
with enough force to cause damage even if I just tap it? Plus being the age
and condition..the starter might stick open and that would be real bad.
Another question. It's a 68 MK IV with negative Earth. I've got no indicator
to tell me what battery to buy. Can I get one from Kragen that will work?
Thanks,
Eric Russell
