Fellow Spridgeteers, While a battery may have sufficient "voltage" for the headlights, it may not have the necessary "amperage" required by the starting system. Even a "fully charged" (appearing) battery can still be bad. A load test is your best bet. In the absence of such equipment, try watching the head lights as you try starting the engine. If the lights are bright before cranking but go out when you try starting, chances are your battery needs replacing. WFO Herb Keep the sticky side down! |
