Why, thank you Curt.
Since I crashed my karma, I need all the help I can get. No, I didn't crash
the Spridget. What Curt's referring to is a little accident I had last
weekend.
My local SCCA region had a shifter kart school last weekend. Now, these
things rule.
To make a long story short, I flipped one at about 35mph in a turn. I hit a
traffic cone and the wheels got pulled left, the rear got light, the left
front sidewall gripped the pavement and the rest is physics. Over she went.
A fluke really, these things are generally pretty stable.
Good safety equipment is provided, so no permanent injury, but my left arm
is in a cast for a month; busted it pretty good. I also picked up a couple
of bruised ribs and few other parking lot dings. The back is bothering me a
bit, and I can't drive for a while. At least I can't drive a Spridget, and
that what really counts, right?
I'm feeling pretty banged up now, but in the larger picture, I'll be fine,
and I'm grateful for that.
thanks
Phil Vanner
