If I may, I'd recommend spending an extra $1500 or $2000 and getting an 87+
325iS (NOT the emasculated 325es). The 6 cylinder is much, much stronger
than the 4, has ABS, and better impact protection. I've done nothing but
change oil in 107,000 miles, and I have seen them torn down at 250,000 miles
with no wear. The Getrag gearbox lasts forever as well. Less yuppie-scum
stigma as well (at least I'd like to think so).
