Several listers have told me that I probably hadn't installed the engine
plate yet and that that made the cam stick out.
Bingo!  :-)

I asked David Anton about endfloat, he recommended 4-5 thou.  I installed
my old thrust washers and now have 3 thou.  I'll leave it at that.

After using the technique recommended by Mark Haynes of one tap on the
piston, 3 taps around the ring compressor to seat it back up against the
block - no more problems.  The 3 good poistons are in.

A new ring set for my 73.5mm pistons is $125 and not in stock.
David Anton of APT recommended I call Total Seal.  They matched the ring
and it's $7.98 - wooohooo!
