Hi Everyone,
I've been a bit quiet lately - trying to get the new race car ready for this
easter (and failed to get it finished in time). However, a friend to the
rescue means that I am going anyhow.
Easter is the "National Challenge" a comp/social meet, this year held
at Wakefield park (vintage race circuit) approx 2hrs south of Sydney.
My buddy Russell Cox and I are heading up later this afternoon (about 8 hrs
drive). We are trailering Russell's MkIII Sprite (with 1320cc hot road
motor)
for us both to drive. Friday is driver training/practice. Saturday is track
time (Super Sprints sort of like SCCA Solo I), Sunday is Concours and
Motorkhana (sort of like SCCA Autocross only much tighter).
There will be *lots* of social activities! Plenty of food, drink, and fun.
We
all stay together at a boarding school (end of term break) so the whole
event is quite reasonable.
Anyhow, I'll try and take lots of photos.
Mike
