Ask a local landscape contractor (who would be happy to make a few bucks this time of year) if you can rent his trailer. The fold down tail gate/ramp is perfect. This is coming from one of those penny pinching Sprite owners who has stuffed one in the bed of a pick up and carried it 9 hours home.
