Dave,

Australian assembled Midgets did not have any emission control gear (bonus), and
all had the black wrinckle paint metal dashboards. However they were only
assembled in Australia from late '67 to '71. The '68 and '69 models basically
being the same as your '67 (+ reverse lights). Prior to 1967 only Sprites were
assembled in Australia.

I've found minor differences on the Aussie cars can be confusing (and
interesting) when comparing with UK assembled cars.
