The consensus clearly is to go for it.
I do think however that $800 is too much for what was described
to us by Dave. $400 seems more reasonable. Realistically, the "shell" if
it is badly rusted is probably useless, too expensive to restore.(I have one
like that in my back woods, free to anyone who wants it) If the bonnet is
in good shape, thats a plus, but thats probably wishful thinking, right Dave?
Bugeyes are NOT that hard to find, so what we are really looking at is a
bunch of parts.
And again, bugeye parts are NOT that hard to find.
I say we offer the guy $400, go to $500 if he quibbles.
I will be available the weekend of 1-16 and 1-17 to help deliver this.
After that, its gonna be tough.
We know where Ron is staying in Rockford, and we are working on finding the
house he bought, so those things are coming together also.
