Allen,

Actually, what Triumph did was push the radiator forward on the GT6.. the 6
cylinder is about a foot longer than the stock Spit 4.  

So imagine trying to fit a lump of cast iron 12 inches longer into the
engine bay of the Midget.  And the starter is on the other side of the
engine, so clearance for the starter and bellhousing is different between
the 1500 and the 2000/2500 engines.  If you did it right the radiator fan
could give a form of "propeller" effect!

No, the neatest conversion I've seen with a Sprite was the rotary powered
Sprite running here in Texas Region SCCA Solo 2.  Imagine the sounds of a
well tuned A series engine... with a 10 grand redline!
