I used Krylon metalic silver followed by Krylon clear the next day.
My bugeye wheels still look great after 10 years. I have recently
removed them and put on aluminum slots.
$5 worth of spray paint outlasted 2 sets of tires.
After ten years they could use a repaint just from chips and scrapes,
mostly from removing the hubcaps thru the years.
Not bad durability for $5?
