Three: you misunderstood Sir Peter of Wisconsin; he merely said that Spridgets 
don't have ball joints because they have king pins.

I have to disagree with Peter.  At least in England (otherwise known by some
as the 'old country'), the tie rod end is also known as a tie rod ball joint
or a track rod end or track rod end ball joint.

A king pin is never something that might be called a ball joint.
