To further add to the confusion, some of the photos in Terry Horler's
book appear to show later Bugeyes with silver painted pillars.  However,
my '59 Bugeye which I bought back in the sixties is like your's Crash -
no evidence then or now of any paint anywhere on the pillars.  I removed
the windshield in 1970 and the pillars were bare aluminum.
