99% of all Lucas failures is a result of dirty fuses or connectors.
My regulator was over 30 when it died.
My 73 Spitfire smoked an alternator in 76. But my 12 year old Jag still
has all of it's original Lucas stuff on it, a lot of which has been
removed so I could clean the contacts and put back together. It all
works. But I still have a horn blowing on my Bugeye but only when I make
a right turn. I unplugged it!
Does anyone know if 30-40 year old Chevys have similar problems with
Delco electrics?
