Tom,
    I have found that there are actually very few whitworth bolts on a 
Bugeye. The original brass nut on the starter wire. The Brass caps on 
the original 1 1/8 carbs, and maybe a couple others. for a few of the 
bolts a metric wrench works better. A lot of your frustration may be due 
to rusted or rounded off bolts which do not seem to fit any wrench you 
have, In a case like this I try to find a socket or box end wrench that 
is tight on the bolt and whack it on to the bolt. Once I have the bolt 
removed I replace it with a good one. Now if you were doing a MGTD you 
would need the whitworth set.
