You should be getting about 16 MPH per 1000 RPMs (or 72 MPH at 4500 RPMs, give or take). I cruise Molly ('79 Midget 1500) at 60 - 65 MPH and 3500 - 4000 RPMs. I've had her as high as 80 MPH and 4700 RPMs, but she gets squirrelly around there and makes me nervous. Seem so me that the top end is supposed to about 85 to 90 MPH but I don't know that for sure.... Rich |
