Well the good news is that the replacement plug has arrived... the bad news is I can't get the remnants of the old plastic plug out of the thermostat housing! I had taken a big screwdriver to it and managed to unscrew it about a turn but now there's not much left to get a grip on. I've removed the housing from the engine but there isn't much chance of removing the plug by mechanical means. The housing is very light metal and scratches easy. (it's also "unobtainium") Whad ya think? TIA, Adrian |
