Tom, I have one of the Austin Sprites. They "lost" the Healey bit when Donald Healey's original contract to use his name ran out in 1970 and Austin were too tight fisted to be prepared to continue with the royalty payments. The last 1022 cars were built from January '71 to July '71. My car was registered in May 1971 and is no 104 of that which suggests that they were selling pretty slowly by then in the UK I understand that the last export Sprites were AN9 chassis numbers and stopped in July 1969.
