I don't understand what's wrong with your plug, other than the fact its
leaking.  Where is it leaking?  Around the edges?  How old is your
sender?  Its your sender that's leaking, yes?

If its the sender just get one from your local foreign auto parts. 
they'll have it for you in two days.  everything i've gotten from them
has been from the UK.
