"...4" are actually 101.6mm. The difference is about 1.6% or 1.6mm in this case." Don't even think about it. Using a 4 x 100mm wheel on a 4 x 4" hub or even the other way around is dangerous. Yes, the difference is only 1.6% but where does that 1.6 mm come out of. 1.6 mm = .063" or more than 1/16". 1/16 of an inch is more than enough to cause stud failure or worse. Unless the lug nuts seat properly in their counter sinks the wheel will never be safe. As Gus stated, "It could ruin my day if in a swiftly driven curve the wheel passes me." Yes it would.
