Skip, the best I ever used was a Ryder trailer. It has a solid floor and a ramp the wiidth of the trailer, and a hand winch to pull the car up onto the trailer. It was mostly aluminum and pulled well. Ryder has since sold their consumer truck rental division I think, so I am not sure of the availability right now.
