Jim,
at least on later cars, IF you have a tonneau bar, you can undo the front
of the tonneau, fold it under the rear part right where those flaps are
and then attach the two fittings on the flap to two studs on the vertical
fire wall behind you seat. This keeps the tonneau taut and looking sharp
when driving. If you leave the center zipper open, you can still stuff
stuff back there (but probably not retrieve it on a Bugeye...)
