Bill,
When dialing from outside the U.K., you omit the 0. (The 0 is a long
distance access code for in-country callers.)
So you dial 011 for our international access, 44 for the U.K. and then 1926
for the city, and then 817181 is the local phone number.
I dunno if your number is right though.
