The charcoal cannister wasn't added until at least 1970 and maybe '72. I would use the PCV tubes on the carbs instead of buying a new gulp valve every season as I've heard is the case. A quick glance at the Victoria British catalogue will give you the straight scoop on when all the additives pollutionwise were done.
