If you have a spin-on oil filter, I would fill the oil filter with fresh oil
and replace it. That would eliminate the time span between the filter being
empty at startup and the oil being delivered from the filter after it fills.
Just a thought. I will be starting my '67 hopefully sometime in July and have
been advised to do this.
