Moss part 296-680 is a $34 gasket set for the lower half of a 1275 cc
engine.
You might like to avoid ordering this part. The timing cover gasket does
not remotely fit. The pan gaskets do not fit (and, worse, they are off by
a small enough amount that one might not notice until too late). The pan
seals are not right: one is OK but the other is a rubber affair that does
not go into the pan slots right.
My part indicates that Moss is passing off an Austin Marina 1300 gasket set
as if it will do the job.
Anyone else suffered this?
