Spridgeteers,
I am hoping that one of you has the factory parts book for a later (65
on) semi eliptical leaf spring. My book covers only the Bugeye.
I need to know if the later 1/2 leafs are interchangabe between a
Sprite/Midget and an Austin A40.
The A40 spring assembly BMC part # is 2A5738, main leaf # 2A5739.
If someone could check these numbers against a Sprite/Midget number I
would appreciate it. This will save me from taking off a spring from a
Sprite and trying it on the A40. Both cars have the same rear axle with
the A40 being wider. The leaf springs look very similar in length and
mounting.
