Easy, there. Let's not start a "flame war" over this. I understand the
frustration rubber-bumper-owners feel with the reaction some people have to
the rubber bumper cars (I own and love one myself), but I was under the
impression that the discussion was a matter of "What IS a 'Spridget',
anyhow?". That seems to me a fair question for a list with that word as a
title.
To weigh in on the question myself, having driven and enjoyed both
"variations on the theme", I can say that I could see how some people would
consider a 1500 Midget not quite a "Spridget", the "feel" is very
different. However, it's less different than a race-prepped Frogeye and a
street Frogeye. What about those who have swapped Toyota or Datsun
engines/transmissions into their "Spridgets", are those cars no longer
"Spridgets"?
Let's just accept that people have preferences, and be friendly enough to
take (and give) a little ribbing about what our preferences are. Like our
cars, we have more in common than we do differences
