 If you already have a jack and it doesn't fit, you could just get a couple of
short scrap wooden planks and drive onto them with the front wheels, giving
you enough clearance. We used to do that a lot with our old autocross Spitfire
4 with its ultra-short, stiff front springs and low profile slicks!

I am looking for a floor jack that will fit under the front spoiler on my 80
Spitfire back to the frame rail.  Does anyone know of a jack that will do
that?
