My GT6 failed inspection this morning - too much play at the inner end of the
left tie rod. Bummer. I've done similar work on the Spitfire and I recall
that the inner end is somewhat adjustable.
Do I recall this correctly?
The Spitbits online catalogue shows individual entries for a zillion
components, washers, nuts, etc at the inner end. Since I haven't taken mine
apart (yet) I don't know what might be broken.
Is there any reason I can't just adjust away the looseness, or should I
disassemble it to look for wearing parts? I'd prefer to avoid that right now.
