If the springs are weak on these overrun valves,
they can leak at idle. Keep this in mind if you
cannot get the idle low enough.
One disadvantage of these valves is that they obstruct
the airflow a bit when the throttle is open. If they
are truly defective, you would be better off replacing
the throttle plates with plain ones instead of sealing
up the valves.
