Hey guys and gals.... please vote on a final date here for the tranny tech
session We need to fix a final date SOON! (like NOW)
http://www.nasshq.org/cgi-bin/nasspolls.cgi?action=results&topic=1
You don't have to be a NASS member to attend. Anyone and everyone is
welcome. The current plans are to rebuild at least two trannies. One, a non
o/d single rail Spitfire box (Jim Holmgren's from York PA) and a single rail
Spitfire o/d box (Art Fournier from Chesapeake Beach, southern MD). We can
handle up to four boxes. So two more boxes are welcome. The more hands the
merrier. Current plans are to film the process and transfer it to a media
that can be distributed to those that want copies. All we ask is that we
get a head count ahead of time, so Gail can figure out how much food,
beverages and possible warm beds to have on hand for the weekend. For the
adventurous types, we can handle a few campers in the yard. There's room for
sleeping bags in the basement, a couch or two, and a spare bedroom, if this
stuff runs into a two day event (if we end up putting a box in a car and or
just b.s. too much etc etc )
If you'd like to attend, you only need to bring yourself, a good attitude,
and a willingness to pitch in and/or learn, and enjoy the comradery of
fellow enthusiasts. Obviously YOU supply you're own parts. (I've got a box
or two we can gut for major parts if absolutely needed) Most all the tools
needed (including air tools and cleaning tanks etc) will be on hand, but a
normal selection of wrenches and sockets of your own couldn't hurt to bring
along.
