Larry,

Don't know about the radiator question (but if I had a hunch it would be to
use the smaller radiator since you know it's good), just wanted to say that
an aluminium flywheel doesn't really compensate for fan drag - they do
totally different things.

Fan drag will sap (a little) power, mainly at the top end of engine revs.
This will slightly affect your absolute top speed, and possibly also your
flat-out acceleration if you are using full revs before you change up. If
you are not revving the nuts off during acceleration, the effect on
acceleration is likely to be minimal.

An aluminium flywheel doesn't give you any more horsepower, none at all. It
simply reduces the weight that that horsepower has to shift. This should
improve acceleration, both because there is a lower inertia for the engine
to have to spin up, and because of the overall reduction in car weight
(which for may of us could be more cheaply achieved by going on a diet!).

So, I guess they both have an effect on acceleration (going back slightly on
my introductory comment!), but in different ways, so they are not really
comparable.
