The bore always gets pitted in these.
Maybe a place that re-sleeves brake cylinders
(Apple Hydraulics or White Post Restorations?)
could re-build it, but it would not be cheap.
Here is what I did a long time ago:
Unscrew the plastic connector socket, and
find a metal plug with the same thread.
Plug it up, with a copper washer as a seal.
Obviously the switch will no longer perform
its intended function, but you won't
be missing much. All the PDWA would ever do
is light up a dashboard light AFTER you
have been scared half to death by the brake
pedal going to the floor without the car
slowing down.
