Rear Trunnions

Spitted Ones,

Since it has been over 25 years since I last replaced the
rear trunnions, can anyone tell me whether or not the
plastic pieces should just slide in? Or are they hard to
insert. I put one together and ruined it. My dusty memory
tells me that it should slide together very easily.
