This may seem odd. I keep all the packets of moisture absorbing pellets, that come in packages. I keep them in my gun cabinet. If I put some in a butter dish and set it in the oil pan of my rebuilt 1500 motor, that is going on it's third year of setting in an unheated building, would that keep it from rusting up? I've pulled the oil pan off and looked in the sparkplug holes once a year and havent seen rust yet, but you can't see everything that way. Larry |
