Guys I think I have managed to answer my own question after some tinkering in the garage this afternoon. The answer appears to be timing again! I had set the timing at 15BTDC and had the lack of power at 3,500-4,000 rpm. checked the timing and it had slipped down to 9BTDC. Reset it again and again it slipped back. It appears that when the bolt is tight the bracket is not holding the dizzy still and it is being allowed to slip. Martin '63 Spit4 |
