Fellow Spitted ones-
My employer has decided it's in both his and my best interest to send me to
Hawaii for a few years. Tough duty, but someone has to do it! <-grin-> I
have too many cars and can't take them all with me, so I had to find a home
for the Spitfire. I was looking to either sell or store it when my
brother-in-law asked what I was going to do with it. He was interested in
buying it if it was for sale. Long story short, I dropped the car off at
his house yesterday and we now have another budding British car enthusiast
in Riverside California. (Guess that makes me a DPO now...)
I've been in and out of the Riverside area over the years, but have never
lived there and don't really know anyone there other than my family. Are
there any list members in the area? Any LBC mechanics that can be
recommended? It would be nice to give him a name or two to get in touch
with as he comes to know the car better.
Lastly, I'll be signing off from the list at the end of next week. Before I
go, I wanted to thank everyone who's been helpful over the years. You've
provided a great deal of good advice and sources for some of the more scarce
parts, not to mention camaraderie and a few good laughs. I wish you all the
best and hope to meet you back on the list in the future.
