dead or just tired engine?

Was out driving my car today - I installed my new oil pressure gauge a 
couple of days ago - and it read about 40psi on idle - and went up to 
just over 60psi when hot and giving it some welly...

But today - it started going down - in the end idle was giving no 
pressure - and the most it was giving me was 25psi!

I also noticed that the engine revs leapt up when I took the oil filler 
cap off... something is up methinks!

I also have a weeping front oil seal too...
