I'm told the new types of non-hardening grease will work in the front
trunions. I haven't bought a tube of grease in several years. My last three
Ford Rangers had no grease zerks. They all went over 150,000 miles. I replaced
ball joints but never any u-joints.
Back when I greased things, the blue stuff made in Oklahoma, bought at
Atwoods, didn't harden up. I don't know how well it lubricated things, but it
didn't solidify.
I'm putting my front components together now. Any recommendations for wheel
bearing grease, trunnion grease, would be helpful. Maybe marine grade?
