you may be able to swap your old output flange onto the "new" gearbox(not 
positive about this?).


Swapping of the flanges on the gearbox is not possible.  The smaller output 
flange uses a smaller shaft and a different splint.  It is easier to swap 
the flange on the driveshaft.
