Probably you no longer have the grounding strap that connected the two halves of the steering flex joint. Does the horn work when the key is out of the ignition and the steering column is locked? If so, this is because the lock bolt grounds it, completing the circuit. Another possibility is a damaged slip ring or contact, right underneath the steering wheel. Doug Braun '72 Spit |
