Just finished installing a new camshaft and am having difficulty getting the
idle set. Set it to 1000 rpm, seems to be fine for 10-20 seconds then starts
to die, punch the throttle a little and everything is ok for another 10-20
seconds. Seems like the SU carbs are "loading up" a bit, they stumble when
you initially blip the throttle, after that, they seem ok. Above idle, out
on the road, the engine runs great.
Here's the setup, a 1500 engine with 9.5:1 compression, dual SU HS4's, a
TSI275 camshaft, 4-2-1 header.
Any suggestions ?
