Although I have never really compared the two, I would think that since
the Spitfire door does not have the vent wing window, the guts would not
bolt into the GT6 Door. But you can use GT6 doors on a Spit as long as
you get the glass to fit the Spitfire top. In fact, that is a good way
to help prevent the wind noise and leakage around the front edge of the
glass. I am not sure if the contour of the glass edge is the same for
both cars. I do know that the early Spit (Mk1-3) glass is curved at the
edge and for those cars, the GT6 glass would have to be cut down to fit.
