That's why it's important to actually investigate a bit, and not simply
make knee jerk assumptions and foolish sweeping statements.  

I contacted the seller about this.  It is indeed a compressor and the
mounting brackets for a Spitfire.  He cannot find the rest of the a/c
system.  If you're interested in seeing the compressor, I can forward
you the picture he sent me.  The compressor is similar to a York, but
distinctly different.

If he could have found the rest of the unit, I'd have bought it in a
heart beat.  I'd love to be able to enjoy my Spitfire in the sweltering
summer days.

That's a good guess, but how can you tell? There is no brand or model
number in the text, and no photo. (?)
