That plastic door handle piece that breaks

Hello again!

A friend with a 1980 Spit is suffering from Broken Plastic Part in the Outer
Door Handle Syndrome.  He's planning on having a machinist friend make up a
few out of aluminum.  He can make more if the need is there.  So, is there a
need out there?
